Differentiated Instruction is a principle guided method to approach teaching and learning in which the teacher adjusts the learning environment, curriculum, assessment and instruction to meet the needs of all learners. (Tomilson & Imbeau 2010) In the above definition several ways to differentiate are listed. A teacher can differentiate by curriculum, assessment, instruction and also resources. When a teacher differentiates she has to look at learner characteristics and intelligence preferences.
